Asian Pear and Green Salad with Sesame Dressing

Ingredients

For dressing
1/2 inch-thick slice peeled fresh Ginger
1/4 C smooth Nut butter or Asian Sesame paste
3 Tbs Sesame oil
1/4 C Rice vinegar (not seasoned)
1 1/2 Tbs Sugar
2 Tbs Water
1 tsp Chile paste with garlic
1/2 tsp Salt

Instructions

For Salad
2 medium Asian pears
4 C Salad Mix
1 Carrot, finely shredded

Make dressing: Blend all dressing ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Prepare salad: Peel pear and cut into 1/8- to 1/4 inch-thick julienne, then transfer to a bowl. Combine salad mix and pear in a bowl, then season with salt and pepper and toss gently. Divide among plates, then drizzle with some dressing and sprinkle with carrot. Serves 4.
