This is very very yummy and goes good on toast for breakfast. You can substitute the sunflower seeds with a nut of your choice. Almonds are good.

Ingredients

Sunflower Seed Pate

1 C sunflower seeds, ground
½ C cornmeal or amarinth flour
½ C nutritional yeast flakes
2 tsp dried parsley flakes
1 ¼ tsp basil
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp salt
½ tsp sage
¼ tsp sea kelp (optional)
1 ¼ C water
3 cloves of garlic
1 C chopped onion
3 Tbsp tamari
1 C finely grated potato, unpeeled
1/3 C olive oil

Instructions

Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
Combine in a blender or food processor (I use a food processor) water, garlic, onion, and tamari until liquified. Add to dry ingredients and combine. Stir in potato and oil and mix.
Lightly oil a 9” pie plate and scoop in pate (I use 2 round 8” pie plates or a 1 loaf pan).
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
