David's Yam Fries

Kids will love these delicious, and nutritious sweet potato fries! (Big kids too!) Try David's Quick Yogurt Dip (under Dips, Spreads, and Sauces) with them, or create your own...almost anything goes! We love to eat these fries with veggie burgers and a fresh green salad...or steamed greens if we're in the mood for comfort food!

Ingredients

Yams/Sweet Potatoes (2-3 lbs)
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp curry
1/2 tsp salt (or spices to taste)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 F. Scrub yams, cut out any marks, and then cut into fries. Place oil, salt, and spices in a seal-able container. Add fries, and shake to coat thoroughly. Bake on cookie sheet for approximately 30 minutes, flipping at least once during cooking time.

Fries should be crisp on the outside and tender on the inside when finished.
