This recipe also works well for sweet potatoes or yams; simply omit the soaking process!

Instructions

Peel and slice rutabaga into long batons or French fries. Soak in water for 30 min, then drain and towel-dry. Toss with vegetable oil to coat and a pinch of salt. Spread on a sheet pan and bake at 400 F, turning occasionally until golden and tender, 30-40 min. When done, toss with a little finely minced rosemary, sea salt, and cracked pepper.
