A quick and easy recipe from The Organic Gourmet.

Ingredients

5 cups broccoli
1-1/2 Tbsp sesame oil
1-1/2 Tbsp tamari
5 cloves sliced garlic
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper glakes

Instructions

Cut the stems off the broccoli, slice them into 1/2-inch rounds, and put them into a large bowl. Discard any woody portions. Slice the heads of the broccoli into bite-sized little (tree) tops and put them into a separate bowl. Heat a wok (or frying pan). Add oil, tamari, crushed red pepper, and garlic. Saute one minute and add broccoli stems. Stir-fry 5 minutes. Add broccoli tops and stir-fry 5 minutes longer, until broccoli is bright green or as crunchy as you like it. Serve over rice, topped with sesame seeds (opt).

** Try adding chopped red chard, green pepper, and/or baby bok choy to this dish (add just after broccoli tops).
