It’s that time again…back to school! One of the most difficult tasks for any busy family is to prepare healthy, but quick, meals. With the kids going back to school this week, that task might become even more difficult. There are a few tricks that may help keep the nutrients on the table and a smile on everyone’s face.

Here are a few tips to making dinner preparation more manageable:

-Look at your schedule ahead of time (use a crockpot or pre-made meals for those busy nights)

-Shop for the week (you will save time if you have all the necessary ingredients on hand)

-Use leftovers as lunches or dinner for the next day (get creative – spice up a leftover or turn it into something else)

-Involve the kids in the meals (they will be helpful, appreciate there meal, and have fun too)
