Hallowe'en time!
Ghouls, goblins, and ghosts are all around us this week…and so are sugary sweets! As the little ones come knocking on our door this weekend, there are options to the high sugar treats that are so commonly handed out. Here are some suggestions (from www.clemson.edu)
Ingredients
-snack packets of dried fruit, baked pretzels, nut and seeds (e.g. sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds) -applesauce
-cereal bars -trail mix
-packages of low-fat crackers -fig cookies
-mini boxes of raisins -individual juice drinks (100% juice)
-sugar-free hot chocolate or apple cider packets
Instructions

-Halloween pencils and erasers -Small tubs of playdough
-Temporary tattoos -Stickers
-Glow sticks -Bubbles
-Pencil toppers -Super bounce balls
