Tart, summer apples work best with this recipe, but later varieties may be used as well.

Ingredients

½ cp white sugar
½ cp white vinegar
2/3 cp chopped onion
½ cp chopped dill pickle
3 tart apples, peeled/cored/julienned

Instructions

In a small bowl combine sugar and vinegar. In a medium bowl, mix together apples, onion, and pickle. Toss with vinegar mixture. Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
