Maple-Stewed Apples
Recipe for Category Dips, Spreads & Sauces

This recipe is a great topper for pancakes, waffles or hot cereal, but equally good as a side dish on its own. You can substitute your favourite fruit for the apples.
Ingredients
1 large Apple
1 Tbs pure Maple syrup
1 tsp Butter
3 Tbs Water
1 dash Cinnamon or Nutmeg
Instructions
Peel apple or, if preferred, leave peel on. Dice apple and combine with syrup, butter, cinnamon and water in small saucepan. Cook over medium low heat, stirring occasionally until apple is tender. Serve warm.
