Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400 F. Layer in a small, oiled baking dish:
1-1.5 lb fingerling potatoes (scrubbed, sliced lengthwise),
6 cloves of thinly sliced garlic,
3 Tbsp butter/olive oil
Season with salt and pepper. Reserve some butter/oil for the top. Add a few tablespoons of water to the dish, then cover and bake until tender, 40-50 min. Remove foil, and bake 10-15 min, until browned.
