You have tasted nothing like this pie. Your taste buds will thank you for it. Give it a whirl. Surprise everyone
Filling:
8 medium apples1/2 Tbsp. cinnamon1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Crust:
1 1/3 cups raw walnuts & pecans1/3 cup dried, shredded coconut12 large dates1/2 cup raisins1/2 cups raisins, soaked1/2 cup pecans, soaked
Process crust ingredients in food processor. Grind together nuts & coconut, then add dates until tit forms a soft ball.Not too wet. Mold in lightly oiled pie plate and put aside.
In food processor, shred 4 peeled apples and put aside.Process other 4 apples and add spices. Stir in 4 apples, that were put aside, by hand.Pile this mixture into te crust. Garnish with soaked raisins and pecans or sprinkle on some dried, shredded coconut.
Serve with ice cream mae from frozen bananas or your favorite fruit.Yum!
