Apple & Banana Crumble

Ingredients

1 ½ lb Apples (approximately 5 apples)
3-4 medium sized Bananas
Juice of 1 Lemon
1/4 C Sugar

Crumble...

¼ C Oats
¼ C Flour, sifted
½ C ground Almonds
½ C light soft Brown sugar
¾ C unsalted Butter, chilled

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Make the crumble. Combine the oats, flour, ground almonds and brown sugar in a bowl. Cut the butter into pieces and add it to the dry ingredients. Peel and core the apples and cut into smallish chunks. Peel the bananas and slice. Mix in a bowl with the lemon juice and sugar then spread in a rectangular ovenproof dish. Scatter the crumble over the fruit and bake for 45 minutes. Check after 20 minutes that it is not browning too quickly, and reduce the oven temperature if it is.
