Asian Pear Muffins
Recipe for Category Baked Goods

Ingredients
1 C Asian pear, peeled and diced
1/3 C Applesauce
¾ C Milk
1 ½ tsp Baking powder
1/3 C White sugar
1 ¾ C All-purpose flour
¼ tsp ground Ginger
½ tsp ground Cinnamon
Instructions
Mix together the sugar, cinnamon, and ginger. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar mixture, salt, milk, and applesauce. Do not over-beat, as the muffins will get tunnels from the air pockets. Stir in the diced applepears. Spoon the batter into 12
greased muffin cups. Bake at 400°F for 20 to 25 minutes or until tops begin to spring back when lightly touched. Makes 12 small muffins.
