Full of fibre, vitamin B6, and potassium (just to name a few), yams are a great way to add nutrition to your meal. To maintain the freshness of your yams, keep them out of the refrigerator. Ideally, they should be stored in a cool, dark, and well-ventilated place for up to two weeks. Yams can be boiled, baked, steamed, mashed, and added to stews, soups, casseroles, or eaten by themselves.
